Overhead Door Corporation is seeking technicians for the installation and servicing of fire and security doors. Technicians will work independently, often traveling for installations, ensuring compliance with safety standards while delivering excellent customer service.
Required qualifications include strong mechanical and electrical skills and a high school diploma or GED. The position mandates flexibility with travel, handling diverse environments, and performing physically demanding tasks.
Under the direction of a Journeyman Commercial Installer, our well‑trained Won‑Door technicians assist with installing large and complex doors that include mechanical, electronic, and code‑compliance aspects. As the face of the company, they provide an outstanding experience to general contractors and end‑user customers while installing and servicing our life‑saving fire and security doors. Technicians work from their own homes and use their own trucks, with products shipped directly to job sites. Jobs are dispatched by a support team based at Won‑Door’s headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah. During training, the trainee travels with the journeyman and stays local to the scheduled work.
Technicians work in various environments such as construction sites, hospitals, retail, business offices, and pharmaceutical facilities. Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and weather conditions is expected. Frequent exposure to wet/humid conditions, airborne particles, extreme temperatures, risk of electrical shock, and vibrations.
