Position Overview

As an Install Technician with Automated Dairy, you’ll be at the heart of our mission, installing top‑of‑the‑line dairy equipment and assisting with exciting remodels. This role is perfect for someone who loves a fast‑paced environment and thrives on learning new skills. If you have a knack for mechanics, plumbing, electrical work, or pneumatics, we want you on our team!

Essential Responsibilities
  • Install new dairy equipment safely.
  • Remodel existing dairy barns and dairy equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Other Responsibilities
  • Completes various clean‑ups, inventories, administrative, and other duties as assigned or as necessary.
Organizational Responsibilities
  • Identifies areas for improvement and offers suggestions to improve the efficiency, productivity, and profitability of the company.
  • Keep up to date on new trends and changes in the industry and area(s) of responsibility by attending internal and external training classes, and other events, and accessing other information sources.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to pass a full background check.
  • Must be able to take and pass a physical agility test and drug test.
  • Applicant must be able to physically access all exterior and interior parts of the property and amenities.
  • Work overhead and climb ladders and work at heights.
  • Ability to walk moderate to long distances and to work in all weather conditions.
  • Applicant must be able to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to fifty (50) pounds independently and one hundred (100) pounds with assistance.
  • Routine local travel and some distance travel may be required and necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position.
Preferred Qualification
  • Previous experience working on dairy equipment.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Exhibit regular and consistent attendance in a timely manner at the place of work.
  • Strong work ethic with mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and follow directions.
  • Experience with electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, or pneumatic is preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to walk moderate to long distances and to work in all weather conditions.
