Job Overview

As an Installation Technician, you will install and repair television and satellite equipment for DIRECTV customers in Grand Forks, ND. You will work independently, often at heights or in difficult spaces, and provide outstanding customer service during installations.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations, drive company vehicle, and install and maintain satellite equipment.
• Work at heights on ladders and raised surfaces; perform work in attics, basements, crawl spaces, and other confined spaces.
• Educate customers on features and functionality of services; demonstrate, sell, and bill service.
• Verify all services are functioning and complete installation orders using company PC.
• Adhere to safety practices and wear appropriate safety equipment.
• Work outside in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid state driver’s license (commercial or chauffeur’s license if required) and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to work day, evening, night tours, overtime, emergency situations, weekends, and holidays.
• Willingness to travel for out‑of‑area work, including overnight trips.
• Physical stamina; able to lift up to 80 pounds, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, and crawl.
• Complete a satisfactory Physical Abilities Evaluation (PAE) and Premise Technician Assessment (Technical).
• Pass required drug test and security check.
• Competence with manual gear shift vehicles (if applicable).
• Ability to work in environments not heated or air‑conditioned.

Compensation

Base wage range: $23.50 to $27.96 per hour (determined by role and location) plus bonus and benefits. Cash Awards: $2,000 upon completion of training, $1,000 after six months, and $2,000 after twelve months, contingent on performance and good standing.
