Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an Installation Supervisor to oversee and direct Ipsen furnace installations on site. You will manage people and coordinate with field personnel or contractors to complete installations while ensuring quality, safety, and budget adherence.

You will review drawings and CAD-generated documents, communicate daily with customers, and lead the on-site team to meet objectives. Adaptability to travel up to 50% is expected, with strong mechanical and electrical skills and safe

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsibilities

• As directed and assigned by the Installation Manager, oversee and direct onsite installations of Ipsen furnaces including that of people management.
• Learning and understanding the requirements for installing Ipsen vacuum furnaces.
• Working onsite to either complete the installation of the furnace independently, with a team of Ipsen field service personnel, or with contractors engaged by Ipsen for the project.
• Monitoring work for accuracy and quality, identifying issues such as loose or missing fittings and poor wire connections.
• Ensuring repairs or corrections are made as necessary.
• Overseeing site safety requirements for Ipsen employees, contractors, vendors, and customer employees.
• Maintaining the installation budget, by using available tools to control costs, lost time, and overtime.
• Carefully reviewing any contractor change order requests, determining validity.
• Leading the on-site team day to day — assigning where people work, setting work priorities, and determining what must be completed before close of day.
• Communicating with the customer daily providing updates on work activities, goal progress, and near term objectives.

• Safety Management skills.
• Ability to coordinate with contractors, customers, and vendors to effectively execute installations.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time. Travel will primarily be domestic; however, some international travel may be required.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, associate degree or additional certification in Engineering, or related technical field, preferred.
