Job summary

ESPEC North America, Inc. is seeking an Installation and Service Coordinator to manage installation and service scheduling for environmental chamber projects. You will coordinate with Customer Support Technicians, Field Installation Technicians, Field Service Managers, and Contractors to ensure timely execution.

You will create installation plans, perform pre-install visits, and lead planning meetings while maintaining clear updates with all stakeholders. Some travel is required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree or equivalent technical training preferred.
  • 2 years of experience at a capital equipment manufacturing company.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing database systems.
  • Basic understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs) in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic understanding of refrigeration and electrical parts.
  • 3 years of customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Introduces customers to the service process and installation procedures.
  • Creates and delivers installation and field service schedules with stakeholders.
  • Performs pre-installation site visits as needed.
  • Leads installation planning meetings and maintains status updates with stakeholders.
  • Communicates potential schedule deviations and escalates issues.
  • Applies problem-solving principles to address setbacks and emergencies.
  • Communicates support needs to relevant departments.
  • Conducts post-installation feedback meetings with customers and technicians.
  • Coordinates organization of in-house materials for field technicians on large projects.
  • Creates cases and orders in the ERP system.
  • Travel and overnight stays may be required.
  • Regular physical attendance is required.

Summary

Coordinates the scheduling of environmental chamber installations and service activities for Customer Support Technicians, Field Installation Technicians, Field Service Managers, and Contractors. Ensures timely and efficient service delivery through proactive communication and collaboration with customers and contractors.

Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Introduces customers to the service process, outlining the installation procedures and providing an overview of the service experience.
  • Creates and delivers Installation and Field Service schedules, along with a comprehensive installation plan, to all relevant stakeholders, including customers, Field Service Managers, Customer Support Technicians, Field Installation Technicians, and Contractors.
  • Performs pre-installation site visits, as required, in partnership with Field Service Managers and Contractors, to assess and plan for complex installations that may require further coordination and follow-up.
  • Leads and facilitates installation planning meetings with Field Service Managers, Field Installation Technicians, and Contractors. Maintains regular communication with internal and external customers regarding project status.
  • Proactively communicates potential schedule deviations with urgency and escalates any critical issues to management as needed.
  • Applies problem-solving principles to address setbacks, changes, and emergencies.
  • Communicates any necessary support needs to the appropriate department.
  • Conducts post-installation feedback meetings with Customers, Field Installation Technicians, and Field Service Managers.
  • Coordinates the organization of in-house materials to ensure Field Installation Technicians have all necessary resources available at the job site for large projects.
  • Creates cases and orders within the designated company ERP system.
  • Some travel and overnight stays may be required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Regular physical attendance is required.

Education
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent Technical Training (college or trade school) preferred.
Skills and Experience
  • 2 years of experience working for a capital equipment manufacturing company required.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing database systems required.
  • Basic understanding of Bills of Material (BOM’s) in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Basic understanding of refrigeration and electrical parts required.
  • 3 years of customer service experience preferred.
