Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a capable Project Manager to lead security installations in the Nashua, NH region. The role requires directing scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety while coordinating vendors and internal teams.

You will apply PMI practices, drive financial accountability, and communicate progress to stakeholders. Expect up to 90% travel and close collaboration with clients to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• 5 years of project management experience in the security industry preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 90% within the region.

Responsibilities

• Lead security projects from initiation through completion, controlling scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety.
• Define project scope, identify risks, and coordinate resources for security system installations.
• Provide project management and security system setup expertise.
• Communicate project updates, cycle status, and expected results to management, customers, and project staff.
• Track project expenditures, installation progress, and financial performance.
• Coordinate vendors and manage vendor relationships during installation.
• Close projects on time and within scope, following up on open items and customer concerns.
• Apply PMI methodology across Integration, Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Human Resources, Communications, Risk, and Procurement Management.
• Build work plans, assign responsibilities, define authority, and provide technical advice and problem resolution.
• Maintain financial accountability, forecast trends, and understand Johnson Controls and client cost structures.
• Use AIA standards to align financial and accounting information.
• Maintain concise, timely, and professional communication.
• Remove obstacles, maintain ownership of outcomes, and adjust plans as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and with strong customer focus

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience of at least five years
• 5 years Project Management experience in the security industry (preferred) or new construction experience
• Travel as needed
• Ability to travel 90% of the time within region
• Certifications preferred or ability to acquire certification within 6 months of employment
• CSPM (Certified Security Project Manager) certification preferred
• PMI PMP (Project Management Institute, Project Management Professional) certification preferred
