Position Summary

As an Installation Project Manager at STERIS, you will be responsible for leading installation projects within an assigned territory, managing project execution, and overseeing a team of approximately 2-5 direct reports. You will also be accountable for the financial performance of major and/or multiple construction and retrofit projects.

Travel Expectations

This role requires travel within the designated territory to various installation sites, via company vehicle or air travel. The territory includes Wisconsin, parts of Michigan, and Illinois. Travel is typically scheduled 1-2 weeks in advance and may involve day trips, overnight, or week-long trips.

This is a remote, customer-facing position. Candidates must be based in Wisconsin to support and service our customers in this territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop installation team members.
  • Plan, organize, and control installation costs and subcontracting activities.
  • Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded through execution of the project plan.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and communicate project status effectively to management.
  • Provide detailed scope of work and instructions to installers and subcontractors.
  • Conduct site visits and attend meetings to ensure quality installation and proactively address potential issues.
  • Complete job documentation and ensure seamless transition to service.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, contractors, and trade personnel.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Associates Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, with 2+ years of project management experience, or 6+ years of relevant experience without degree.
  • Experience with process improvements, familiar with Six Sigma or Lean methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Financial acumen and experience analyzing financial data.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management tools, and reporting software.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience managing people directly.

Salary range: $93,000 - $130,200, with bonus eligibility. Pay is commensurate with experience and other factors.
