Job Summary

Acoustical Solutions is seeking an experienced Installation Operations Supervisor to lead field service operations across North America. This role is responsible for building and developing high-performing installation teams, managing subcontractor partners, and ensuring installation projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to high customer satisfaction standards.

The Installation Operations Supervisor will oversee day-to-day installation operations, inventory, equipment, fleet management, safety compliance, departmental financial performance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader with experience managing installation services teams and a commitment to operational excellence, accountability, safety, and process improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain reliable, standardized installation-related business processes.
  • Manage in-house installation teams and subcontractor partners to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to quality standards.
  • Oversee the organization, inventory levels, and reorder points for project materials within the installation warehouse.
  • Manage installation tools and equipment inventory.
  • Address policy and procedure issues with team members and communicate significant concerns to upper management.
  • Oversee maintenance and management of the company fleet.
  • Conduct monthly jobsite safety audits and fleet vehicle audits.
  • Maintain overall P&L responsibility for the Contracting Services Installation business.
  • Participate in monthly KPI reviews, strategy deployment, and budget review processes.
  • Lead the execution and continuous improvement of the company's Daily Management and Continuous Improvement methodology.
  • Identify opportunities to improve installation department efficiency, effectiveness, and overall performance.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to standardize, document, and continuously improve installation processes.
  • Identify and eliminate waste within installation processes to improve overall efficiency.
  • Develop installer training procedures and programs.
  • Train Project Managers and installers on jobsite safety requirements and installation quality standards.
  • Identify, recruit, train, and develop installation employees who demonstrate company values and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Identify, recruit, train, and manage installation subcontractor partners throughout the United States.
  • Ensure subcontractor partners consistently meet company safety and quality standards.
  • Assist with the development of the annual departmental operating budget.
  • Track departmental spending and report results monthly.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience managing employees within an installation services environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong initiative with the ability to identify and solve operational problems.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities, priorities, and functions simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and a goal-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and remain open to new ideas, processes, and organizational change.
  • Commitment to company philosophy, values, safety standards, and operating procedures.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement and Lean business processes.
  • Experience managing subcontractors or third-party installation partners.
  • Experience managing installation operations across multiple locations or geographic regions.
  • Experience with departmental budgets, expense tracking, and P&L responsibility.
  • Experience developing and implementing training programs for field or installation teams.
  • Experience managing fleet operations, tools, equipment, and installation-related inventory.
Work Environment / Schedule
  • Position is based in Richmond, VA.
  • May require extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
  • Position may require working in or visiting construction sites and warehouse environments.
  • Must adhere to the Acoustical Solutions Health & Safety Manual.
  • Attendance at company safety meetings is required.
  • Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn when required.
  • Monthly jobsite safety and fleet vehicle audits are part of the position's responsibilities.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Annual salary: $80,000.

  • Employer-paid Group Term Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance equal to 1x annual salary, up to $200,000.
  • Employer-paid Short-Term Disability coverage.

  • Optional Accident, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity coverage.
  • Insurance benefits are available to eligible employees working 30 or more hours per week.
