Overview
Empire Office is seeking a hands-on Installation Manager to join our growing residential accounts team. This role is responsible for overseeing the onsite installation of model home furniture projects—managing crews, ensuring furniture is placed according to the approved design plan, and delivering a high-quality finished product.
This role requires 100% travel across the eastern U.S. and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, field-based environment and enjoys being on-site from project start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the on-site installation of furniture for model home projects
Manage installation crews and subcontractors to ensure efficient, high-quality execution
Ensure furniture is placed according to design plans and installation drawings
Coordinate with Empire’s warehouse team to receive and stage all furniture onsite
Identify and report missing or damaged items; work with internal teams to resolve quickly
Direct and support crew throughout the install to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to schedule
Troubleshoot onsite issues as they arise
Serve as the on-site point of contact during installation, representing Empire to clients professionally
Complete a post-install walkthrough with the client to review the finished space
Document installations with a detailed final report and photo log outlining completed vs. outstanding scope
Ensure compliance with all company safety standards and procedures during installation
Qualifications
Proven experience managing on-site installations, ideally in residential furniture or model home projects
Strong leadership and crew management skills
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Confident, clear communicator—both with internal teams and clients
Ability to read and interpret floorplans, inventory sheets, and spreadsheets
Proficiency in Excel and project management tools
Resourceful, detail-oriented, and solution-driven with an entrepreneurial mindset
