Dematic is seeking a Senior Installation Manager to lead full lifecycle installation projects, coordinating staffing, planning, and subcontractors to meet milestones. You will oversee mechanical, electrical, and mechatronics pre-commissioning, safety, and reporting, with the ability to manage site visits, cost reviews, and equipment inventories.

This role requires 5+ years in related equipment, travel up to 50%, and flexibility for on-call and off-shift work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' experience with mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Experience with material handling equipment.
• Service experience with AGVs, AS/RS, or conveyors.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and be on call.
• On short-notice travel and after-hours support as needed.

• Provide training and technical support to subcontractors on equipment used for handling materials.
• Identify installation issues and propose effective solutions.
• Prepare project quotes, including pricing reviews, scope of work, schedules, and equipment lists.
• Select and coordinate subcontractors in conjunction with purchasing.
• Attend weekly project review meetings and track financials.
• Conduct site visits to support commissioning and implement safety and quality standards.
• Complete equipment run-ins and report readiness for commissioning via formal documentation.
• Manage ordering of consumables, supplies, rentals, and other resources for project execution.
• Participate in post-project reviews to recommend design or process improvements.

As the Senior Installation Manager, you will be responsible for Full project installation activities including staffing and planning of daily and weekly workload in meeting project milestones for less complex and/or smaller projects.

Manages assigned superintendents, foremen, and crews. Responsible for all mechanical, electrical, and mechatronics pre-commissioning projects, project progress, safety and other required reporting on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. This individual will be responsible for the full lifecycle of installation projects starting with pre-quoting activities through site visits and concept review meetings to determine costs. Scheduling sub-contractors, keeping track of equipment inventory and rentals is also a large part of this role.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $ 106,500 to $156,200 salary at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

What we are looking for

• High school diploma or equivalent experience required; Associate degree or 1-2 years vocational/technical training preferred. Specialized skill training or certification may be required.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience resolving problems related to mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Confirmed working experience with material handling equipment.
• Service experience with AGVs, AS/RS, or conveyors is highly valued.
• Willingness to travel on short notice and spend up to 50% of the time traveling.
• Ability to be on call and travel as the need arises.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and off shifts.
• Ability to write clear, concise, and complete trip reports according to Dematic procedures.
• Proficient in the use of personal computers for word processing, databases, and communications.
• Understanding of personal computer hardware setup and software configuration.
