Job summary

Young Electric Sign Company is seeking an Installation Journeyman to install and service signs in Salt Lake City, UT. You will read blueprints, perform electrical installations, and operate cranes and lifts while following NEC and company procedures.

The role requires five or more years in sign installation or related construction, valid CDL Class B, welding and crane certifications, and the ability to travel to job sites with overtime as needed.

Minimum:Maximum:Location:Salt Lake City, UtahJob Type:Full timeJob Title:Installation JourneymanJob Description:GENERAL PURPOSEUnder the close supervision of the Install Manager or Lead, the Sign Installation Journeyman installs new signs and services existing signs safely, efficiently, and within established budgets and timelines.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESReview blueprints, work orders, and installation specifications and prepare required materials and supplies.Transport, prepare, load, unload, and erect signs and related equipment.Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on existing signs.Perform electrical installation and service work in accordance with applicable codes and company procedures.Install, troubleshoot, and service LED lighting and signaling systems.Operate power tools, hand tools, forklifts, cranes, and other equipment as required.Complete required paperwork and documentation for installation and service work.Travel to customer and field locations as required.Work safely and comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.Obtain completed work sign-off from customers when required.Maintain professional and courteous communication with customers and coworkers.Perform work at heights, on ladders, lifts, and other elevated work platforms as required.Work overtime, including evenings and weekends, as required to meet customer, project, and business needs.Travel to out-of-town locations and remain away from the normal work location as required.
