Overview

Anton Cabinetry is a custom cabinetry and architectural millwork company specializing in the design, fabrication and installation of commercial casework, architectural casework/millwork, countertops and store fixtures throughout the United States.

Basic Function

This position is responsible for supervising the installation, delivery, and safety practices of all installation team members on their assigned project in accordance with company standards. This position is responsible for enforcing all company quality and personnel policies and procedures on their assigned job-sites. Strong knowledge in the installation and construction of cabinetry and millwork, along with good leadership, organization, self-management and problem-solving skills are required.

Primary Job Responsibilities
  • Serve as a job-site supervisor for assigned projects, responsible for safety, quality, productivity, and timeliness of completion, while liaising with the client, project manager, and team to complete projects according to Company standards.
  • Lead and perform the layout and installation of various types of cabinetry and related millwork per architectural drawings for each assigned job.
  • Arrive at and depart directly to assigned job sites; perform installation duties and supervise deliveries and team member productivity.
  • Monitor job-site progress, quality, and safety of installation team members; document status and issues and provide regular reports to management.
  • Provide training for new team members and monitor compliance with standard work, including safe use of tools and equipment.
  • Apply LEAN concepts to all aspects of the job.
  • Assist with team member performance evaluations and provide input on discipline, hiring and termination actions.
  • Prepare and monitor the preparation and submission of time cards, daily progress reports, and field change orders in accordance with Company policy.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives that support Company objectives.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties & Requirements
  • Ability to work extended hours to meet deadlines; ability to stand, kneel, stoop, squat, climb, and stand on ladders and/or scaffolding for extended periods.
  • Good eye-hand coordination and ability to use hands to demonstrate proficiency with specialty power tools.
  • Ability to read English, write English, read blueprints and other architectural drawings; see, talk, write, understand and speak English; hear.
  • Ability to research, evaluate and recommend alternatives.
  • Effective communication with team members and clients.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move items up to 150 pounds and frequently lift and/or move 75 pounds; knowledge of mathematical principles including geometry, measuring, angles and rise/run calculations.
  • Ability to reliably satisfy contract background and substance abuse test standards; maintain satisfactory driving and criminal background.
Required Knowledge and Skills
  • Good leadership skills.
  • 1 year or more experience managing job-site work crews and installing custom work in a similar industry.
  • Expertise in installation and supervision of commercial casework and millwork.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills across all organizational levels.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills; ability to prioritize, plan and manage resources and personnel.
  • Strong problem solving, decision-making and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read blueprint-type drawings and layouts for customized casework or millwork.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Mathematical proficiency with measurements and angle calculations; strong carpentry knowledge.
  • Experience with power tools: compound miter saw, table saw, router, biscuit cutter, belt sander, jig saw, circular saw.
  • Must be able to travel to job sites as assigned.
  • Endurance to visit entire job site, including stairs or elevated structures; ability to work extended hours as required.
Desired Knowledge and Skills
  • Knowledge of Anton Cabinetry’s products, services and manufacturing operations.
  • Good knowledge of OSHA requirements for the construction industry.
Experience Preferred or Educational Equivalent
  • 2 years or more experience with laying out, cutting and fitting custom prefinished or laminate clad casework and millwork.
  • 2 years or more experience supervising work crews and job sites in a similar industry.
Training, Certification and/or Educational Requirements
  • 30-hour OSHA certification in sections 1926.
  • First Aid & CPR Certification.
  • Industrial Lift Truck Certification.
  • LEAN Training or certification.
  • Vocational or technical coursework in woodworking.
  • Training in management or leadership.
