Job summary

The Memoir Agency in Orlando seeks a seasonal Install/Dismantle Crew member to assemble assets and support daily show prep for Dazzling Nights at Leu Gardens. You will work with a small team under an Install/Dismantle Lead to ensure timely setup and on-site collaboration.

Role runs Oct 19–Nov 16 with possible continuation through January in related operations. Pay ranges $22–$25/hour, DOE, on-site outdoor production environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for long periods.
• Experience using basic hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to problem-solve and escalate issues as they arise in the field.
• Ability to lift objects; most items under 50 lbs.
• Team player with effective communication.
• Punctual and able to work all shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup of back-of-house areas to support Install and Dismantle tasks.
• Assemble prefabricated structures or assets.
• Support punch list completion to close out zones at 100% ahead of QC walks.
• Keep work areas clean and organized to maintain site cleanliness.
• Pack and palletize assets for activations during load-out per Memoir standards.
• Attend pre-shift and post-shift meetings to discuss goals and key points.
• Use knowledge of activations to participate in tasks.
• During Run of Show, assist as Event Ambassador and Arrival Ambassador as needed.

Job description

The Install/Dismantle Crew position is responsible for working within a dedicated small team, under the direction of an Install/Dismantle Lead, to install both activation-specific and non-specific assets as assigned through the divided labor plan for daily show preparation of Dazzling Nights™, hosted at Leu Gardens in Orlando, FL. This includes assembly of prefabricated structures and assets while working in tandem with other teams on-site to complete work that involves multiple teams.

This is a SEASONAL/TEMPORARY position with an expected start date on October 19th for 3-4 weeks to complete the Installation Period.

*Continuation of work during the show dates from November 19th through January 3rd is available in Event Operations as well as On-Site Technology

*Availability to continue work during the Dismantle period will be available January 4th - January 15th.

Key Responsibilities

Install and Dismantle Periods (Mid-October to Mid-November; Early-Mid January)

• Assist in the setup of back-of-house areas as required to support Install and Dismantle tasks
• Assemble prefabricated structures or assets
• Support punch list completion within assigned activation areas so zones can be closed out at 100% ahead of Creative QC walks
• Keep work areas clean and organized, helping maintain the overall cleanliness of the site
• Pack and palletize assets for assigned activations during load-out, making sure to adhere to Memoir standards
• Participate in pre-shift and post-shift meetings with the crew to discuss work goals and accomplishments, adding on any key points specific to their work
• Uses basic knowledge of all assigned activations to actively participate in tasks assigned to them

Run of Show Period (Mid-November to Early-January)

• Available work as Event Ambassador, providing service and assistance to all event guests while supervising interactive areas by maintaining crowd control, line management, traffic flow and overall safety of the guests.
• Available work as Arrival Ambassador, greeting all guests to the event and assisting with a variety of service tasks such as check-in procedures, providing event information, and overseeing All‑Inclusive guest check‑in.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Ability to complete physically demanding tasks, such as standing and/or walking for long periods
• Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools (eg. drills, impacts, socket wrenches)
• Ability to problem‑solve, and properly escalated issues as they are encountered in the field
• Ability to perform necessary and appropriate duties for Install and Dismantle in a safe and efficient manner, including the loading and unloading of event trucks
• Ability to lift objects without an established maximum weight, though most objects will be below 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodations will be made to allow differently‑abled individuals to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Must work well in a team-based environment, and communicate effectively with team members
• Must be prompt, and be able to work all shifts assigned

Work Environment & Schedule

• Seasonal/Temporary role for a minimum commitment of 4 weeks (October 19th – November 16th)
• Availability to return for the Dismantle Period January 4th – January 15th preferred
• Approximately 40 hours per week
• Evening, weekend, and extended on‑site commitments are expected during installation and dismantle.
• Work will occur at event location consisting of outdoor site environments, including active construction or production settings.

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting Rate of Pay $22.00-25.00 per hour, based on prior experience
