Mount Indie is seeking an Installation Analyst II to support U.S. Navy C4I modernization, providing shipboard installation, integration, testing, and field support for hardware and network systems aboard surface ships and shore facilities.

The role collaborates with PMWs, SSA, ISEA, shipyards, Fleet personnel, and contractor teams to drive installation projects from planning through final acceptance, requiring extensive shipboard experience and strong problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate installation schedules with Government representatives and shipyards.
  • Analyze system performance and document installation deficiencies for resolutions.
  • Support testing and acceptance activities (SOVT, GAT, FAT).

Job description

Mount Indie is hiring an Installation Analyst II to support U.S. Navy Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, and Intelligence (C4I/C4ISR) modernization efforts. This position provides technical installation, integration, testing, and shipboard support for the installation of mission-critical hardware and network systems aboard U.S. Navy surface ships and shore facilities.

The Installation Analyst II will work closely with Government Program Offices (PMWs), Systems Support Activities (SSA), In-Service Engineering Agents (ISEA), shipyards, Fleet personnel, and contractor teams to execute successful C4I installation projects from planning through final acceptance.The ideal candidate possesses extensive shipboard installation experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a thorough understanding of Navy modernization processes, technical documentation, installation standards, and network integration.

What You’ll Do
Installation Planning & Execution
  • Lead and support installation teams during shipboard modernization and alteration projects.
  • Execute hardware installation, equipment integration, cable routing, rack installation, and system implementation aboard U.S. Navy vessels and shore facilities.
  • Install Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), communications equipment, servers, workstations, network devices, cabinets, and associated hardware.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, installation diagrams, cable run sheets, equipment layouts, and technical documentation.
  • Perform installation activities in accordance with approved engineering drawings and Government installation standards.
  • Coordinate installation schedules with Government representatives, shipyards, and installation teams.
  • Support installation planning conferences, ship checks, and technical meetings.
Systems Integration & Testing
  • Perform hardware integration and system configuration supporting C4I modernization efforts.
  • Troubleshoot installation discrepancies, hardware faults, and network connectivity issues.
  • Support System Operational Verification Testing (SOVT), Government Acceptance Testing (GAT), Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and other installation verification events.
  • Analyze system performance and recommend corrective actions when required.
  • Validate proper operation of installed systems prior to Government acceptance.
  • Document installation deficiencies and assist with resolution efforts.
Technical Analysis & Problem Solving
  • Analyze installation requirements and recommend technical solutions supporting system modernization.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related installation issues.
  • Support engineering teams with system modifications and equipment upgrades.
  • Collect installation data, document findings, and prepare technical reports.
  • Support risk identification and issue resolution throughout installation execution.
  • Assist with engineering change implementation and configuration management activities.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance
  • Execute installation activities in accordance with NAVSEA Standard Items, Technical Specifications, Navy safety requirements, and applicable Department of Defense instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with Government installation procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain accurate installation records, deficiency reports, and completion documentation.
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives during installation activities.
Collaboration & Customer Support
  • Serve as a technical liaison between Government customers, shipboard personnel, engineering organizations, and installation teams.
  • Coordinate with PMWs, SSAs, ISEAs, shipyards, and subcontractors throughout installation efforts.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior installation personnel.
  • Participate in installation planning meetings, production meetings, and technical reviews.
  • Develop installation status reports and communicate project progress to leadership.
Required Skills/Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required with 10 yrs experience. Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience supporting installation and integration of Navy C4I systems.
  • Experience supporting systems engineering processes throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Experience supporting hardware installation aboard U.S. Navy ships.
  • Experience integrating communications, networking, and tactical systems.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, installation diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Experience supporting shipboard modernization and installation projects.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary Government and contractor teams.
  • ActiveSecret Security Clearance.
