Job summary

Worldwide Equipment Sales is seeking an Installation Technician C to join our Illinois team. You will build and install tow and recovery equipment, transport trailers, and specialty vehicle systems, collaborating with experienced technicians to gain fabrication, hydraulics, electrical, and upfitting skills.

The role emphasizes hands-on assembly, inspections, and documentation, with a focus on safe shop practices and ongoing skill development in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of automotive, diesel, fabrication, equipment repair, or related mechanical experience.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.
• Must provide and maintain a basic set of hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Install tow truck bodies, recovery equipment, transport trailers, and related systems.
• Install mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and structural components.
• Perform equipment upfitting and customization tasks.
• Complete assembly and basic fabrication assignments.
• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs.
• Assist with troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
