Job summary

Worldwide Equipment Sales (WWE) in Rockdale, IL is seeking an Installation Technician C to join our Illinois team. You will work on tow trucks, recovery equipment, transport trailers, and specialty vehicle systems, developing skills in fabrication, hydraulics, electrical, and upfitting.

The role emphasizes hands-on installation, basic fabrication, inspections, and safe shop practices. You will install components, perform maintenance, troubleshoot systems, and maintain records in a team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• At least 1 year of mechanical experience
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
• Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools
• Must provide and maintain a basic set of hand tools

Responsibilities

• Install tow truck bodies, recovery equipment, transport trailers, and related systems
• Install mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and structural components
• Perform equipment upfitting and customization tasks
• Complete assembly and basic fabrication assignments
• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs
• Assist with troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment

This role is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals looking to build a career working on industry-leading tow trucks, recovery equipment, transport trailers, and specialty vehicle systems. As an Installation Technician C, you'll work alongside experienced technicians while developing your skills in fabrication, hydraulics, electrical systems, equipment installation, and upfitting.

What You'll Do

• Install tow truck bodies, recovery equipment, transport trailers, and related systems
• Install mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and structural components

What We're Looking For

Required

• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
• Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools
• Must provide and maintain a basic set of hand tools

Preferred

• Experience with tow trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, or commercial vehicles
• Welding or fabrication experience

Compensation

$22.00 - $30.00 per hour
