Job summary

TEKsystems seeks Cable Technicians to join a hands‑on, fast‑paced team supporting critical network and data center environments in Berwick, PA. You will install and test Cat5e/Cat6 cabling, assist with equipment installation, and document work using tickets and spreadsheets.

You will troubleshoot connectivity issues, read diagrams, and collaborate with teammates to meet milestones while delivering quality workmanship in a demanding technical setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with Cat5e/Cat6 cabling or structured cabling.
• Basic networking concepts and IT infrastructure.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and inventory tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, route, terminate, and test Cat5e and Cat6 network cabling.
• Support deployment and maintenance of network infrastructure in data center and enterprise environments.

Cable Technician / Data Center Infrastructure Technician

What You'll Do

• Install, route, terminate, and test Cat5e and Cat6 network cabling.
• Support the deployment and maintenance of network infrastructure in data center and enterprise environments.

What We're Looking For

• Experience working with Cat5e/Cat6 cabling, low‑voltage systems, telecommunications, or structured cabling.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and IT infrastructure.
• Comfortable using Excel and other computer‑based documentation tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Preferred Qualifications

• CompTIA A+ Certification
• CompTIA Network+ Certification
• Experience working in data centers, construction, warehousing, manufacturing, or logistics environments.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems, inventory tracking, and technical documentation.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds regularly.
• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and working on your feet throughout the day.
• Ability to safely move equipment, server racks, carts, and materials as part of a team.
• Willingness to work in varying temperatures and wear required safety equipment (PPE).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Berwick, PA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
