Job summary

Jack Henry is seeking a Programmer Analyst to join our Implementation Team, supporting SilverLake and 20/20 core processing platforms. You'll transform customer data, write code, fix bugs, and enhance base functionality for smooth installations and performance.

The role involves extensive travel nationwide and a remote work option. Candidates must reside within ~70 miles of our listed office locations and are expected to participate in onsite interviews or onboarding as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of experience in any programming language.
• 50% travel for software implementations, up to two trips per month, each lasting 5 to 9 days.
• Ability to work extended hours that will include nights and weekends during the install.

Responsibilities

• Develops programming code for new and/or existing software enhancements.
• Devises block diagrams, logic procedures and prepares flowcharting.
• Troubleshoots and debugs existing code.
• Tests code and fixes to ensure quality.
• Develops conversion and system implementation plans; implements newly created code and fixes into existing software.
• Provides programming support for various interfaces.
• Keeps customers informed of all enhancements, troubleshooting, and fixes; may assist the customer in determining if and how system enhancements may improve process flow and business function.
• Creates all programming documentation; may include defining the system and functional requirements of the product
• May complete project bids and/or work effort estimates. Interacts with customers to gather system requirements.
• May perform other job duties as assigned.

In this role, you'll be at the forefront of transforming customer data, converting it seamlessly into our SilverLake and 20/20 databases. You'll also dive into code - resolving bugs, correcting errors, and enhancing base functionality to ensure smooth installations and optimal performance.

This is a remote position, and candidates must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of our office locations in Allen, TX; Birmingham AL, Cedar Falls, IA; Charlotte, NC; Lenexa, KS; Louisville KY; Springfield, MO; or Monett, MO.

What You'll Be Responsible For

What You'll Need To Have

• Minimum 18 months of experience in any programming language acquired through education and/or professional job experience
• This position entails 50% travel for software implementations, typically involving up to two trips per month. Each trip may last between 5 to 9 days.
• Ability to work extended hours that will include nights and weekends during the install.

What Would Be Nice For You To Have

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Experience with one or more programming languages: RPGLE, CLLE & SQL.
• Banking industry experience.
• Experience with Silverlake or 20/20.
