Immanuel Lutheran Church and School (ILCS) in Batavia, IL is seeking a Substitute Teacher to deliver curricula and support student learning when the regular teacher is absent.

The role is on-call, part-time and non-exempt, with compensation tied to hours worked. Candidates should be 18+, able to manage a classroom and follow lesson plans, and ideally hold an Illinois teaching certificate or be willing to pursue one.

Qualifications

• Active ILCS member preferred
• At least 18 years old
• Bachelor’s degree or higher required
• Illinois teaching certificate or willingness to pursue the certificate
• Willingness to be an active ILCS member

Responsabilités

• Deliver rigorous curriculum and facilitate student participation in assigned classes
• Support ILCS ministry and school programs
• Maintain classroom decorum following prepared lesson plans
• Ensure safety and supervision of each child in the classroom
• Attend scheduled staff meetings and in-service programs
