Job summary

Osseo Area Schools is seeking a Special Education Classroom Teacher (Temporary, 1.0 FTE) to support students in the district. The role covers instruction across curriculum areas, implementing IEP goals, and collaborating with guardians and staff.

Starting Aug 31, 2026 through June 10, 2027, with a salary grid referenced in the bargaining unit. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree and MN teaching licensure in appropriate field (ABS or other special ed licenses preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required for teaching position.
• MN teaching license in appropriate field or willingness to obtain.
• Willing to apply for Tier 1 or 2 license if not currently licensed.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and prepare scholars with confidence, courage, and competence to achieve goals.
• Provide instruction and support, write and implement individualized IEP goals, evaluate progress.
• Maintain scholar records, report to district admins, and communicate with guardians.
• Manage classroom and enforce district rules, use instructional resources, and support district objectives.
• Provide in-person, synchronous and asynchronous learning and collaborate with colleagues.
