Job summary

Charter Schools USA Inc. is seeking an Exceptional Children Teacher (EC/ESE/SPED) in Kannapolis, North Carolina. This role partners with parents, students, and regular education teachers to promote student achievement and ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations.

The candidate will manage IEPs, progress monitoring, and data collection, while providing specially designed instruction and inclusionary practices across settings to support diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent.
• State Certified in Special Education and HQ status in the subject areas and grades assigned.
• Certified in at least two areas of Exceptional Education, preferred.
• Criminal and employment background checks.
• Strong instructional delivery and communication skills.
• Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SIS, and email communications.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for and conducts Parent and student conferencing.
• Delivers instruction in modalities used by the school (co-teaching, direct instruction, etc.).
• Collects data and appropriate work samples.
• Plans and conducts appointments with parents.
• Assists regular education teachers with instruction.
• Maintains IEPs, quarterly reports, and progress monitoring.
• Develops and implements IEPs with measurable goals.
