Job summary

Cadence Education in Tualatin, Oregon seeks a passionate Preschool Teacher to support daily classroom operations and Cadence Education programs. You will help create a safe, nurturing environment that supports children’s physical, social, emotional, and developmental needs, including those with IEPs, while maintaining licensing compliance.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a classroom team.
• Ability to follow safety procedures including allergy processes, bottle-feeding, and Safe Sleep practices.
• State licensing requirements must be met for the Teacher role in a licensed childcare center.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive, inclusive classroom environment focused on dignity, respect, and care.
• Greet children and families daily and establish professional, welcoming relationships.
• Assist in recognizing and responding to developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, following IEPs and behavior plans.
• Support Lead Teacher in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership using Cadence-approved tools.
• Follow the Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual and document accidents/incidents as required.
• Help manage and document child behaviors in line with Cadence policies and classroom expectations.
• Adhere to all Cadence Education policies in the Employee Handbook.
• Participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development, possibly outside regular hours.
