Job summary

Cadence Education seeks a passionate Preschool Teacher to join our team in a licensed childcare setting. Under the supervision of the School Director and Lead Teacher, you will help create a safe, nurturing classroom that supports children's physical, social, emotional, and behavioral needs, including those with IEPs.

You will contribute to daily routines, support curriculum delivery, build strong relationships with children and families, and ensure licensing compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Must meet state licensing qualifications for a Teacher in a licensed childcare center.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required background clearances and health screenings.
• CDA preferred but not required if state requirements are satisfied.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive, inclusive classroom environment with dignity, respect, and care.
• Greet children and families daily and establish professional, welcoming relationships.
• Assist in recognizing and responding to individual developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs (IEPs and behavioral plans).
• Support Lead Teacher in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership using Cadence-approved tools.
• Follow Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual and document/report incidents as directed.
• Assist in managing and escalating child behaviors per Cadence policies.
• Adhere to all Cadence Education policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook.
• Participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development.
