Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements/training for subject and level.
• Demonstrated competency in the core subject area.
• * AED certificate required for PE teachers *

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to district curriculum and accommodate diverse learners.
• Use instructional strategies and materials reflecting student needs and TEA guidelines.
• Assess student learning styles and adapt activities accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Plan and assign work to aides and volunteers and oversee completion.
• Create a positive classroom environment and manage student behavior per code of conduct.
• Establish professional relationships and open communication with parents and colleagues.
• Participate in staff development and comply with regulations; attend faculty meetings.
