Job summary

Savannah Technical College is seeking a 12-month, full-time Dental Hygiene Instructor for the Savannah Campus. The instructor reports to the Dean for Health Sciences and the Department Head, and will teach, supervise, and coordinate curriculum across classroom, lab, and clinical settings.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Dental Hygiene, an active Georgia license, and 2 years of clinical practice, plus CPR certification. Blackboard LMS experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from a regionally accredited institution.
• Active Georgia Dental Hygienist license.
• Two years clinical practice experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability.
• Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Instruct, manage, and supervise in classrooms, labs, and clinics using appropriate teaching methods.
• Prepare lesson plans and develop curriculum for the dental hygiene courses.
• Coordinate cooperative work experience programs and assist with reports and accreditation compliance.
• Maintain accurate records on student attendance, performance, and outcomes; support recruitment and placement efforts.
