Job summary

The Oxford Hills School District is seeking a dedicated Middle School Girls Lacrosse Head Coach for Oxford Hills Middle School (7/8th Grade). The role involves skill development, practice planning, and coordinating with the Athletic Director for scheduling contests.

Applicants must be approved by the district, maintain safety and ethics compliance, and may need CPR/First Aid certification. This is a one-year position with responsibilities that support student growth and school athletics programs.

Qualifications

• Successful coaching experience preferred.
• CPR, AFEP Coaching Principles and Sport First Aid Courses or equivalent (may take within the first year as a coach).
• At least 20 years of age.
• Must be approved by the Oxford Hills School District.
• Must sign a statement agreeing to comply with all MPA By-Laws, policies and Code of Ethics.

Responsibilities

• Coaches individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sport involved.
• Plans and schedules a regular program of practice in season.
• Works closely with the Athletic Director in scheduling intramural and interscholastic contests.
• Recommends purchase of equipment, supplies and uniform, as appropriate.
• Maintains necessary attendance forms, insurance records and similar paperwork.
• Oversees the safety conditions of the facility where the sport is conducted at all times when students are present.
• Enforces discipline and sportsmanship, and establishes penalties for breaches by students.
• Works with middle school programs and junior teams as appropriate.
