Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Indiana teaching certificate in the appropriate grade level and area of study.
• Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations for disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students and facilitate learning according to policies and guidelines.
• Guide students in activities promoting intellectual, social, and physical growth.
• Teach essential skills contributing to students' development as responsible adults.
• Implement curriculum and create a conducive classroom environment.
• Assist administration in enforcing policies and rules governing student life and conduct.
• Develop classroom procedures and behavior rules to maintain a safe environment.
• Meet and instruct assigned classes at designated locations and times.
• Use varied instructional techniques, media, and assessments to reach curriculum goals.
• Establish clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects and communicate them to students.
• Assess student progress and provide reports as required.
• Maintain accurate records as required by law.
• Administer and analyze standardized testing data to maximize student success.
