Qualifications

• Current teacher certification in MD, VA, or DC.
• Knowledge of child development and supervision.
• Experience teaching in an elementary school setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Planning: Create lesson plans that align with Archdiocese standards; use assessments to adjust instruction; plan learner-centered lessons; address diverse needs.
• Instruction: Deliver a balanced program with direct, guided, and hands-on activities; differentiate instruction using assessment data.
• Classroom Management: Establish procedures, enforce rules, maintain a positive learning environment, set high expectations, integrate Catholic values.
• Communication: Maintain grade books, inform parents and administration of progress, post updates in the grade book portal, and hold conferences as needed.
• Catholic Identity: Foster Catholic beliefs and lead liturgical activities as required.
• Non-Instructional Duties: Perform duties like carpool, sponsor clubs, attend meetings, and pursue required certifications.

Education

Current teacher certification in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington, DC

Knowledge of child development and supervision

Experience teaching in an elementary school setting (preferred)
