Candidates must hold a NJ Instructional Certificate (Social Studies 5-8), know NJ standards, differentiate instruction, and use primary sources. Experience with Google Apps for Education and bilingual ability are a plus.

Qualifications

• Valid NJ Instructional Certificate (Social Studies 5-8)
• Knowledge of NJ Student Learning Standards for Social Studies
• Knowledge/Experience with Danielson's Framework for Teaching (a plus)
• Willingness to collaborate with department members
• Willingness to differentiate instruction for diverse learners
• Understands importance of utilizing primary sources and various literacy strategies (within the social studies classroom)
• Background with implementation of Google Apps for Education
• Knowledge of best practices in middle level education
• Bilingual (a plus)
