Job summary

The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and a valid Texas teaching certificate in a core content area (Science 4-8). Prior student teaching or internship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate in a core content area (Self-Contained 1-8, Core Subjects 4-8, Science 4-8).
• At least one year of student teaching or approved internship.
• Exempt wage/teacher pay schedule; 187 days.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum.
• Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Present content according to TEA guidelines and district policies.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials for varied learners.
• Assess student progress through formal and informal methods.
• Supervise teacher aides/volunteers and coordinate with staff members.
