Qualifications

• Certification/License: Oklahoma State Certification as a Middle School Teacher.
• Oklahoma State Certification in the relevant subject preferred.
• Driver's license or ability to provide own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers middle school curriculum aligned with district goals and objectives.
• Maintains a safe, conducive learning environment for individualized and small group instruction.
• Teaches all required subjects for grades 7-8 and uses district-adopted course of study.
• Assesses student learning and adapts instruction for diverse needs.
• Communicates progress, expectations and goals to students, parents and administration.
• Keeps accurate records of grading and attendance as required by district policy.
• Coordinates with colleagues on curriculum and participates in meetings.
• Administers standardized tests according to district programs.
