Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or ELA-related field required.
• Experience with middle and high school students preferred.
• Michigan teaching certification with secondary ELA endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate passion for and expertise of reading, writing, speech and other secondary ELA content.
• Provide world-class instruction in ELA to middle and high school students.
• Use data to guide and effectively differentiate instruction.
• Learn and grow by incorporating feedback from school leaders, colleagues, students, and professional development sessions.
• Build relationships with students and parents to ensure a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment.
• Other duties as assigned to best support the Lansing School District mission.
