Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Coaching authorization with the State of Iowa or able to obtain.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs.
• Professing believer in Jesus Christ and in agreement with DMC faith statements.
• Regularly attends a church affirming historic Christian orthodoxy.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates leadership in all phases of their specific athletic program in collaboration with the HA.
• Works cooperatively with coaching staff in decision making/problem solving.
• Develops trusting, productive relationships with students in order to create a safe, positive, and productive team environment.
• Assists in developing athletes physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
• Communicates effectively with players, parents, administration, and the community.
• Assists with program purchases and equipment needs.
• Coordinates with the coaching staff and facilities team in the proper care and management of facilities and equipment.
• Adheres to the policies and practices outlined in the DMC Coaches Handbook.
• All other duties as assigned by the Head of Activities.
