Job summary

The Corvallis School District is seeking a Jr. High Boys Basketball Coach for the 2026–2027 season. This internal-only role offers a seasonal stipend and starts with the 2026/2027 school year, with an open application until September 4, 2026.

Responsibilities include coordinating the middle-school program and promoting the sport while following OSAA guidelines. Experience coaching at the middle-school level is required; the district emphasizes ethics, rapport with stakeholders, and a commitment

Qualifications

• Middleschool basketball coaching experience.
• Experience in all aspects of basketball coaching.
• Ability to develop rapport with students, parents and coaches.
• High ethical and professional standards.
• Ability to motivate student/athletes and coaches.
• Fundamentals of coaching, concussion and steroid training; current First Aid certification (can be completed upon hiring).
• Oregon Teaching License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of the middleschool program.
• Work with and help give direction to programs feeding into the middle school.
• Assist in selection of the coaching staff.
• Promote the sport.
• Keep detailed statistics.
• Follow all school and OSAA guidelines.
• Provide off-season opportunities enabling athletes to improve skills.
• Be a student of the sport.
