Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for the Spanish level assigned.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
• General knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill district curriculum requirements with written preparation evidence.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials suitable for diverse learners.
• Assess student learning styles and plan corresponding activities.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Plan and assign work to instructional aides and volunteers; supervise completion.
• Sponsor extracurricular activities as assigned; support campus goals.
