The ideal candidate holds a Florida teaching certificate, plans lessons per state standards, and uses technology to enhance learning while adhering to IDEA and school

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Possession of, or eligibility for, a Florida Educators certificate.
  • Certificate in exceptional student education (ESE) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan lessons aligned with state and Pepin Academies curricula.
  • Ensure compliance with school, state, and federal regulations for students with disabilities.
  • Collaborate with ESE team to develop and implement IEPs.
  • Engage students with diverse needs and maintain an orderly, positive classroom.
  • Use data to monitor progress toward IEP goals and adjust instruction.
  • Communicate effectively with students and parents to support achievement.
  • Participate in professional development and align practices with IDEA and standards.
  • Supervise teacher assistants and support transition planning as needed.
