Job summary

Professional Bodwell Academy in Riviera Beach, FL, seeks an Exceptional Student Education Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction for students with special needs. The teacher will design engaging lessons across all core subjects and involve families in the child’s learning while ensuring compliance with licensure and state mandates.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and Florida Teacher’s Certification (ESE K-12).
1-3 years’ experience in Special Education and/or Elementary Education Classroom experience.
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

Develop and write Individual Education Plans (IEPs) with school staff and therapists.
Participate in parental/student IEP meetings.
Develop and implement daily/weekly school schedule.
Maintain contact with parents regarding student progress and goals.
Conduct student assessments to inform IEPs and programming.
Attend mandated trainings and meetings.
