• Foster citizenship, self-discipline, morality, and patriotism in students.
• Meet and instruct classes as scheduled.

• Maintain classroom discipline and support school-wide discipline efforts.
• Prepare for classes and show evidence of preparation upon request.
• Maintain accurate records as required by law and policy.
• Evaluate student progress per system procedures.
• Seek specialist assistance when needed and refer students as appropriate.
• Safeguard students and school facilities and equipment.
• Be available for student/parent conferences outside instructional hours as mutually agreed.
• Collaborate with staff on planning activities, goals, and methods.
• Assist in selecting instructional materials.
• Participate in extracurricular activities as agreed.
• Attend faculty meetings regularly.
• Maintain professional relations with parents and the community.
• Promote good public relations for the school and system.
• Pursue ongoing professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
