Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education with appropriate subject area.
• Hold or be qualified to hold a North Carolina Professional Educator’s License in a teaching content area.
• Master’s degree in a specific subject area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes assessment strategies aligned with curriculum and standards to support learner development.
• Ensures effective communication with students, parents, and stakeholders.
• Engages in continuous professional quality improvement for self, school, and district.
• Uses strategies to promote critical and creative thinking in students.
• Implements instructional materials reflecting diverse learning needs and backgrounds.
• Establishes a classroom management system to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Plans, aligns, implements, and evaluates instruction across environments.
• Collaborates with peers, parents, community and stakeholders for improvement.
• Integrates appropriate technology in teaching and learning processes.
• Adheres to safety procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
