Job summary

Wake County Public School System seeks an educator to plan engaging classroom experiences and monitor student outcomes. You will develop and adapt instructional plans in accordance with state and system standards, while maintaining records and ensuring a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education with appropriate subject area.
• Hold or be qualified to hold a North Carolina Professional Educator’s License in a teaching content area.
• Master’s degree in a specific subject area is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes assessment strategies aligned with the Wake County Public School System curriculum and standards to support learner development.
• Ensures effective communication techniques with students, parents, and stakeholders.
• Engages in planned continuous professional quality improvement for self, school, and district.
• Uses strategies that promote critical and creative thinking among students.
• Implements instructional strategies and materials reflecting diverse cultures, learning styles, and needs.
• Creates a positive learning environment and manages classroom behavior to support engagement.
• Plans, aligns, implements, and evaluates instruction and assessment in various settings.
• Collaborates with peers, parents, community and stakeholders for continuous improvement.
• Integrates appropriate technology in teaching and learning processes.
• Ensures adherence to safety procedures and performs other duties as assigned.
