Job summary

Lakeville Area Schools (ISD 194) seeks an Elementary School Assistant Principal for Lake Marion Elementary School in Lakeville, MN. This full-time, 200-day position starts 09/2026, with a TBD start date and a closing date of 09/10/2026.

The assistant principal will support the principal in leadership, supervision, and management of school programs and operations, advancing student learning and well‑being.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in education required.
• K-12 Principal license in Minnesota required.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school officials, parents, students, teachers, support staff and associates.
• Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills required.
• Focus on equity and equitable outcomes for all students.

Responsibilities

• Actively promote the school mission, vision and objectives to students, parents, and community.
• Collaborate with employees to reinforce school services to improve student learning experiences.
• Coordinate with Intervention Support Team services (Special Education, 504, Title I, mental health).
• Develop and implement student orientation and transition programs with Learning Specialists.
• Facilitate continuous school improvement plans.
• Represent the principal at meetings in the principal's absence.
