Job summary

Wake County Public School System seeks an educator to plan and provide learning experiences that support the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of students in a dynamic classroom environment.

The role requires collaboration with parents, staff and the community to continuously improve instruction, assessment, and student outcomes while integrating technology and inclusive practices. Licensure in NC is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education with appropriate subject area.
• Hold or be qualified to hold North Carolina Professional Educator's License in a teaching content area.
• Master's degree in a specific subject area is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes assessment strategies aligned with the WCPSS curriculum and standards to support learner development.
• Ensures effective communication with students, parents, and stakeholders.
• Engages in continuous professional quality improvement for self, school, and district.
• Uses strategies that promote critical and creative thinking in students.
• Implements instruction reflecting students' cultures, learning styles, and needs.
• Integrates technology in teaching and learning processes.
• Maintains safety procedures and records; performs related duties as assigned.
