Job summary

Charter Schools USA seeks an Elementary Daily Substitute to help keep learning on track when regular teachers are absent. You will enable children to pursue their education smoothly and completely by following prepared lesson plans, maintaining classroom routines, and supporting a positive learning environment.

In this role you will coordinate with the principal, adapt to classroom needs, manage student behavior, and communicate daily outcomes.

Responsibilities

Teaches the lessons prepared by the absent teacher.
Reviews with the principal/supervisor plans and schedule to be followed during the teaching day.
Reports in writing the day’s activities and provides feedback as requested by the building principal.
Follows all school and CSUSA policies, rules, and procedures.
Consults with the principal/supervisor before initiating any lesson not specified in the plans.
