Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for certification waivers under the DOI.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that reflect district curriculum requirements.
• Plan instructional activities and use appropriate strategies and materials.
• Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning.
• Collaborate with staff to modify curricula for IEP students.
• Instruct and manage student behavior in accordance with policies.
• Supervise assigned teacher aides/volunteers.
• Establish and maintain professional communication with parents, students, colleagues, and community.
• Participate in staff development and comply with regulations and meetings.
