Job summary

The Teacher fulfills the mission of the Catholic school by guiding, inspiring, and educating students in a loving, Christ-centered environment. The Teacher is to be immediately responsible to the principal for the carrying out of policies of the school, and the Archdiocese of San Antonio as they relate to the function of the school, the classroom, and the interaction with students and parents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 12 credit hours in education or a valid state certificate.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet use for education and multimedia presentations.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Detail oriented and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school.
• Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church.
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the school's curriculum and TEA/Catholic guidelines.
• Plan and use instructional strategies reflecting diverse learning styles.
• Maintain classroom management and confidentiality; ensure student safety.
• Communicate with parents, students, and staff professionally and meetings as required.
• Participate in staff development and complete required records and reports.
