Southeast Alamance High School in Haw River, North Carolina is seeking a 9-12 Social Studies Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The role reports to the Principal and involves teaching, planning learning experiences, and maintaining records as required by ABSS policies.

The position follows a Monday–Friday workweek with a standard 40-hour schedule and a 10-month calendar. The salary is based on the Teacher Salary Schedule plus a supplement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in an applicable field for applicable level(s).
• Must hold a valid NC teaching license for the applicable field and level.
• National Board Certification is preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Plan a program of study that meets the needs, interests and abilities of students.
• Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
• Create a classroom environment that enables each student to achieve learning objectives.
• Provide an instructional program to meet the needs of all students.
• Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law and ABSS policies.
• Administer and supervise standardized test administrations in accordance with applicable ethics and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
