Job summary

The Lyon County School District is seeking an Elementary Teacher for 5th/6th grade at Fernley Intermediate. The position offers 9 months or 185/189 days with an annual salary range of $50,761 to $92,279, depending on experience, and employer-paid retirement.

Responsibilities include implementing Nevada standards, maintaining an effective learning environment, designing lessons, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with IEPs and district policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess or be able to acquire a Nevada teaching license issued by the Nevada Department of Education and be certified in the relevant subject area.
• When applying for a certificated licensed position, candidates must meet the minimum qualifications as listed on the appropriate position vacancy announcement.

Responsibilities

• Administer district curriculum aligned with Nevada standards and/or the upcoming Common Core State Standards.
• Create and maintain an orderly, academically focused instructional environment.
• Analyze student progress and provide individualized instruction and feedback.
• Integrate technology into lessons and maintain records in Infinite Campus.
• Maintain punctuality and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
