Salary Range: $50,761-$92,279 annually with employer‑paid retirement, dependent upon previous experience.
Terms of Employment: 9 months (185/189 days). FLSA Status: EXEMPT, salaried position assigned to the Licensed Employee Salary Schedule.
The teacher will implement daily student instruction with the Nevada Academic Content State Standards and the LCSD approved curriculum. They will create and maintain an educational atmosphere that encourages effective student learning and supports school and district programs and goals. The teacher must adhere to the LCSD Professional Standards for licensed employees and report directly to the school site administrator.
Education and Training: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
Licenses and Certifications: Must hold or be able to obtain a Nevada teaching license issued by the Nevada Department of Education, certified for the relevant subject area.

Strength, dexterity, coordination, and vision to use keyboard and video display terminal for prolonged periods; stamina to bend, stoop, sit, and stand for long periods; dexterity to handle files and single pieces of paper; occasional lifting of items up to 25 pounds. Must operate educational technology such as LCD projector, SmartBoard, iPads/Tablets. Requires hearing and speech for communication. Work in climate‑controlled classrooms and outdoor settings with temperatures ranging from mild/moderate to extreme cold/heat. Exposure to moderate to very loud noise levels as needed, crowded environments, classroom furniture, playground/office equipment, communicable diseases, chemicals, and power/hand‑operated equipment.
