Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teaching skills and knowledge in assigned academic area per adopted curriculum.
• Instruct pupils in state-mandated subject matter and district procedures.
• Develop lesson plans and provide individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum.
• Evaluate pupil progress, maintain records, and prepare progress reports.
• Communicate with parents to discuss pupil progress and school programs.
• Identify pupil needs and collaborate with staff to support learning and health concerns.
• Create an effective learning environment with engaging displays and centers.
• Maintain professional competence through ongoing development.
• Select and requisition instructional aids; maintain inventory records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
