SUNY Niagara is seeking a part-time Music Instructor to teach Piano Musicianship on our Sanborn, NY campus. The course targets beginning keyboard majors and focuses on sight-reading, scales, arpeggiations, harmonizations, accompanying and improvising.

Instructors address technique and literature to prepare students for placement into a baccalaureate program. Typical duties include on-campus teaching, tracking attendance, reporting learning outcomes and grades each semester.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience teaching piano at high school or college level.

Responsibilities

• Teach course on campus.
• Track attendance as needed.
• Report on student learning outcomes at the end of the semester.
• Report grades at the conclusion of the semester.
